(This bio is in my own words, so it may not be exactly like in the book/movie.)
Harry Potter is the child of Lily and James Potter, both who had attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, a pair of caring parents who loved him very much. One stormy night, Lily and James were putting their darling Harry to bed when they heard somebody enter. They had locked the door so they new it was a spell that had opened it. Baby Harry was so defensless, and his paents so unarmed, they didn't know wha to do. Soon, a dark, mysterious figure enetered Harry's bedroom. Lily begged for mercy, standing in front of Harry to protect him. James was pleading for the figure to spare his family. The figure raised his wand, killing James and Lily, but failed to kill the defensless, unarmed baby. Unknowingly, Harry was attacked by Lord Voldemort that night, the most powerful Dark Wizard in all the world, who had just murdured his parents that night. Also that night, in Voldemort's failed attempt to rid of Harry as well, he transfered some of his power to young Harry Potter. Voldemort became very weak after this night, and npbpdy knew for sure where he was or if he still lived or was dead.
Sent by Albus Dumbledore, Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Rubues Hagrid, the Hogwarts gamekeeper, dropped baby Harry off on the front porch of Harry's closest relatives house--the Dursleys. The Dursleys are a family of Muggles, or non-magic people. They despise magic, and never mention it in their household. Unwillingly, they took harry in and raised him. Petunia, Lily Potter's sister, was Harry's aunt, who dedicates her life to spoiling her rotten son, Dudley Dursley. Vernon is Harry's uncle, who works at a drilling company and too spoils his son Dudley. The Dursley family treated Harry like garbage, making him live in a cupboard under the stairs for most of his life.
One day, a letter was received at the Dursleys house addressed to Mr. H. Potter of 4 Privet Drive. Harry tried and tried, but he could not get the letter from Uncle Vernon who tried his hardest to keep the letters away from Harry. Each day, more and more of the same exact letter arrived at the Dursleys house, delivered by owl. Finally, one day, so many thousand of letters for Harry poured in that Vernon took the family to an old falling apart wooden house on a tiny island in the middle of stormy waters. On a storming night, Harry was in a sleeping bag on the dirt floor of the house. He counted down till the stroke of midnight, when he wished himself a happy eleventh birthday. All of a sudden there was loud banging on the rickety old door. Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia were on the stairs, Vernon's gun aimed at the door. Then, a huge man banged the door down and enetered the house. He introduced himself as Rubeus Hagrid, and handed Harry one of the letters he'd been trying to read for a long time. He was thrilled to be accepted into Hogwarts, and ignored the Dursleys' furious objections.
Hagrid led Harry ro London, where they enetered Diagon Alley and bought all Harry's school supplies. Hagrid left Harry with his supplies, including a new owl named Hedwig, and his ticket to Platform 9 and 3/4. He was confused about how to get onto the Platform, which is how me met the Weasleys, and large family of pureblood wizards who were enetering the Platform as well. They showed his how to enter by running straight at the wall between platform 9 and 10. He and Ron, one of the youngest of the Weasley family, sat together and became friends on the Hogwarts Express, the train which was the source of transportation to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. They also met Hermione Granger, a very intelligent girl on the train. They enetered the doors to Hogwarts and the three of them were all Sorted by the Sorting Hat into the House of Gryffindor. That's when their adventures at the magical school of Hogwarts all began...
